Your weight and your fertility

My sister has been childless for many years now. A couple of months ago, she started her way to lose those extra fats she gained when she was working fulltime. It turns out her effort had been paid, she got pregnant and that's because of losing weight.

Most women do not realize just how closely related weight and fertility are. Did you know that most doctors say that women who are overweight and have fertility issues can drastically improve their chances of getting pregnant by losing as little as five to ten pounds? Losing weight can improve health in tons of other ways as well. Eating a healthy diet will help with weight loss, but it can also be a way to boost fertility all on it’s own.

Research from PregnancyTips.org says that women should try to eat a diet full of fruits, veggies, lean meats, whole grains and dairy products to keep their body performing it’s best. Processed foods, fast foods, and sugary snacks should all be avoided when trying to conceive. Exercise is also important for fertility as well as losing weight, and women should aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise each and every day.
