Free Text on Yahoo and Gmail

Did you know that you can send and receive text messages to your Yahoo and Gmail account. Here is how it works:

For Yahoo account:

1. Sign in to your yahoo account.
2. Click on the arrow down beside the Compose message tab. You will see three options, Email, instant messaging, SMS, just choose SMS.
3. Enter the mobile number, using this format: country code+mobile number. Example, for Philippine sms: +63919123456789. If you already saved the mobile number of your friend, you may enter the name.
4. Compose a message then send.
5.Please note thatyou can send up to 4 text messages to one mobile number for every response you receive from the same device.

For Gmail account.
1. Log in to your gmail account.
2. On Send SMS box, enter phone number. You will see a prompt message. A prompt window will appear. Kindly check on “Supported mobile phone operators” for the list of supported operators on your country. Or, if you already have a Chat window open for this contact, just click Options, and select Send SMS.
3.In the dialog box, enter a phone number in the ‘Send SMS messages to this number’ field.
4.Click Save.
5.A Chat window appears. Just type your message as you would normally. When you hit Enter, the message will be sent to the phone number you entered. At the lower portion, you will see the remaining SMS balance.
6. Please take note that you will have a total of 50 free SMS in your account. Once you received a reply, an additional of 5 SMS will be added but it will be a total of 50 SMS.
